Billing is disabled in this testing build. There is nowhere to enter a card and nothing to cancel — every student and parent account gets the full Socratic tutor, voice, whiteboard, uploads, and parent view at no cost.

During the public testing phase, all accounts run with every feature unlocked — live reasoning replies, shared whiteboard, worksheet PDF/photo uploads, per-skill mastery tracking, and the read-only parent dashboard. Sessions are rate-limited (5 lessons per hour per student) rather than billed. The plans below show the intended structure once billing opens.

Billing is not enabled in this build
There is nowhere to enter a card, nothing is charged, and session starts, tutor turns and uploads are rate-limited rather than billed. Everything behind sign-in runs against the demo data backend on this server until a Supabase project is configured. The table above describes what we intend to offer, not a meter that is running.

In every plan
The tutor is the same on all three plans
Nothing in the tutor is held back for a higher tier. What you choose between is how many sessions you get, how many learners a plan covers, and whether a parent has a dashboard of their own.
Every feature, not a cut-down demo
The Free plan runs the same tutor as Family. Nothing is switched off, shortened, or held back for a paid tier.
Voice, whiteboard and uploads
Hold the mic to talk, sketch the working on the shared whiteboard, or bring a worksheet or a PDF. Typing is a full path, not a fallback.
Per-skill mastery and memory
Progress is tracked skill by skill, and a session starts from the topic you name, or from your weakest skills — so Tuesday does not repeat Monday.
The answer-leak check on every reply
A deterministic, rule-based check looks for finished solutions before a reply reaches you. It flags rather than quietly rewriting your history.

Do I need a card to start?
No, and there is nowhere to enter one. Billing is not enabled in this build: the pricing page describes the plan we intend to offer, and nothing on it is charged.
Are sessions counted right now?
Not for billing — nothing is charged while billing is off. Usage is rate-limited (session starts, tutor turns and uploads), so a very long run may pause until the next window. No plan quota is enforced.
What counts as one session?
One session is one piece of work with the tutor: you open it, work through a problem or two, and end it. Sessions are counted by session, never by the minute, so a long, careful session costs the same as a short one.
Can I move between plans, or cancel?
There is nothing to cancel while billing is off. When billing is enabled, plan changes will be monthly and take effect immediately, and cancelling will return the account to the Free plan rather than deleting it.
Does the Family plan cover siblings?
Yes — up to four learners, each with their own login, their own subject choices and their own mastery bars. A linked parent sees all four in one dashboard, without one child being able to read another’s sessions.
